IDEAS FOR DECORATING WITH PINE CONES

Pile on the pine cones!! What other simple and affordable way is there to display a holiday or winter spirit in a natural way than with using pine cones? You can use them in baskets, bowls or glass containers. They can be paired with simple shimmers of glass balls, metal bells and the glow of candlelight. In abundance, these can also be made into a wreath or strung together to create a garland swag for a mantel. They also work to personalize a winter table place setting, mix into your fave metal container with greens, fill in a tree with pine cone picks, or just simply add to a wreath. Here are some ways I've used pine cones in my holiday decorating...

IN BASKETS

IN GLASS CONTAINERS

AS SINGLES

MIXED WITH METALS

IN BOWLS

ON TREES AND WREATHS

ON LANTERNS OR CHANDELIERS

AND
PERSONALIZED PLACE SETTINGS
WITH BELLS

  1. Those are some great ideas! I bought a big bag of cinnamon scented pine cones at an after-Christmas sale at Michael's last year for 75 cents! This year, I have pinecones spread throughout our entire home. It really adds a festive touch to every room. :)
